Terms & Conditions
Last updated 19 September 2026
These Terms are a starting template written for an Indian coworking operator. Have them reviewed by your own legal counsel before you go live, and replace the bracketed details with your registered entity information.
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and any workspace, virtual office, mail handling or meeting room service ("Services") provided by Mark Space ("we", "us", "our"), operating from Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
By browsing this website, submitting an enquiry, booking a tour or taking up a membership, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or the Services.
2. Enquiries and quotations
Prices shown on this website are indicative starting prices, exclusive of GST, and depend on the centre, seat count, term length and inventory available at the time of enquiry. A quotation becomes binding only when issued in writing by us and accepted by you, and remains valid for the period stated on it (15 days unless stated otherwise).
Availability of any desk, cabin or meeting room shown on this website is not guaranteed until a booking is confirmed and the applicable deposit is received.
3. Memberships and agreements
- Term. Hot desk and dedicated desk memberships run month to month unless agreed otherwise. Private cabins generally start at a three-month term.
- Notice. Unless your signed agreement says otherwise, either party may end a monthly membership with 30 days' written notice, effective from the end of the billing month.
- Deposit. A refundable security deposit (typically one to two months' fees) is payable before move-in and is refunded within 30 days of vacating, net of dues and any damage.
- Invoicing. Fees are invoiced monthly in advance and are due by the date shown on the invoice. Late payment may attract interest at 1.5% per month and suspension of access.
- Taxes. All fees are exclusive of GST and other applicable statutory levies, which will be charged at the prevailing rate.
4. Use of the workspace
A membership is a licence to use the space; it does not create a lease, tenancy or any interest in the property. You agree to:
- Use the space lawfully and only for legitimate business activity.
- Not cause nuisance, damage, excessive noise or disruption to other members.
- Follow the house rules, fire and safety instructions, and reasonable directions from our staff.
- Not sublicence, resell or share your membership or access credentials with anyone who is not a registered member on your account.
- Be responsible for the conduct of your team, visitors and contractors on our premises.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately for a material breach, non-payment, unlawful activity, or behaviour that endangers other members or staff.
5. Virtual office and registered address services
Where you purchase a virtual office plan, we provide a commercial address for correspondence and, where included in your plan, documentation to support GST registration or company incorporation.
- You must complete our KYC process and provide valid identity and entity documents before the address can be used.
- The address may only be used by the entity named in your agreement, and only for lawful business purposes.
- We do not guarantee approval by the GST department, the Registrar of Companies or any other authority. Approvals are their decision.
- We may be required to disclose your details, and to permit inspection of the premises, in response to a lawful request from a government authority.
- Misrepresentation of your business activity, or use of the address for a fraudulent or prohibited activity, will result in immediate termination without refund.
6. Mail handling
We receive letters and parcels addressed to you at the centre named in your plan, notify you, and hold, scan or forward them as instructed. We store items for up to 30 days unless agreed otherwise, after which uncollected items may be returned to sender or disposed of.
We will not accept perishable goods, hazardous materials, cash, or items that are unlawful to possess. Forwarding charges are billed at cost plus any handling fee stated in your plan. We are not a licensed courier and our liability for any single item is limited as set out in clause 9.
7. Meeting rooms and bookings
Meeting rooms are bookable by the hour subject to availability and any credits included in your plan. Cancellations made less than 4 hours before the booked slot may be charged in full. We may relocate a booking to a room of equivalent size where operationally necessary.
8. Internet, IT and data
We provide shared internet connectivity on a reasonable-efforts basis. While we maintain redundant lines and power backup, we do not warrant uninterrupted or fault-free service. You are responsible for your own devices, backups, endpoint security and for complying with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules while using our network. We may log network activity as required by law.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill.
- Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Services in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
- You are responsible for insuring your own equipment and property. We do not insure member property and are not liable for loss or damage to items left on our premises.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
10. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of government, civil unrest, epidemic or pandemic, fire, flood, failure of public utilities or the landlord's building systems, or internet or telecommunications failure outside our network.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, images, layout, logos and marks — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied, republished or used commercially without written permission. Your own name and marks remain yours; you grant us permission to list you as a member (name and logo only) unless you tell us in writing that you would rather we did not.
12. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the "last updated" date shows when it changed. Material changes affecting existing members will be notified by email at least 15 days before they take effect.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bangalore, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the parties first attempting to resolve any dispute in good faith within 30 days of written notice.
